A HAPPY WEEKEND NOTE FROM RACHAEL KING:

Anyone who has been trying to get hold of two of Michael King's most important books: Maori: A photographic and social history, and Te Puea might have had a bit of trouble.

With all the shuffles at Reed, these two excellent books became out of print - Maori for quite a while. I am very happy to announce that they are both now back in print at Penguin under their Raupo imprint. Not only this, but Maori has a stunning new cover .

Also, David Bateman have re-issued Moko, the book Dad did with Marti Friedlander in the early 1970s. It is in a larger format hardcover, with full page reprints of Marti's beautiful photos.
This is great news Rachael, thanks for letting me know.
