Top 10 Paris
DK Eyewitness - $25

During July we will be spending five nights in Paris so in a fit of excitement I bought these three titles at Unity Books last week and over the weekend have been busily devouring them. They are all useful and quite special in their own way.
The box of Paris Walks contains 50 cards each with a suggested walk with the map on one side and information about places along the route on the other. We have selected twelve (the cards are made of firm cardboard) which we will take with us to select from while there. Hopefully one day we will get back to the city of love for a longer stay and be able to put some of the other walks into practice. Meantime it is quite fun just to browse throughq them and imagine one was there.
While the two books both have removable maps tucked in to the back inside cover we will take the Eyewitness map because it is plasticized, is slightly larger and therefore easier to read, and is designed to slip easily into a jacket pocket.

For space and weight reasons only one of these guides can go so it will be the Eyewitness Guide Top 10 Paris which really is a small sister version of the stunning full Eyewitness Travel Guide to Paris, arguable the best guide ever published on the French capital.
