New Armstrong title for Yellow Jersey
12.08.09 Benedicte Page in The Bookseller

Matt Phillips, new editorial director at Yellow Jersey Press, has made his first acquisition, buying a photographic account of Lance Armstrong's 2009 Tour de France tour.
My Comeback: Up Close and Personal will be published in hardback on 3rd December.
Armstrong spent three years in retirement after his seventh Tour win, but in September last year announced his shock decision to return to professional cycling. He was placed third in the overall rankings of the 2009 Tour, which makes him, at the age of 37, the oldest top-three finisher for more than 30 years.
Up Close and Personal will include Armstrong's diary entries for the Tour, plus over 200 photographs by sports photographer Elizabeth Kruetz. Phillips acquired UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding ANZ) from Richard Pine at Inkwell Management. Simon & Schuster will publish in the US.
Yellow Jersey said it has sold 750,000 copies of Armstrong's It's Not About The Bike (2000), the story of the cyclist's recovery from cancer, and nearly 500,000 of the follow-up Every Second Counts (2003).
