Guinness World Records 2010 goes on sale today (17th September) and the publisher is expecting a "complete 100% sell through" of all books printed.
UK marketing manager Paul Kenny said: "We've adjusted our print run in line to what we expect to sell. I think this years book trade is going to be incredibly healthy." He added that he thought there would be a "complete 100% sell through - that's what we want and that's what we think.""Bookshops will be destinations for Christmas shoppers this year in a way they may not have been last year," said Kenny.

He added that the variety of titles that will be published this autumn, especially fiction, could help with sales across the book trade. "We see that as a great thing for our book."This years Guinness World Records is emphasising the end of the decade, with the added strapline 'The Book of the Decade'. Kenny said, "Many of our readers have never seen a decade tick over and if they have they don't remember it.. so there's a real focus on what has happened over the last 10 years."Kenny said that the book would have "enjoyable, wacky and significant" records of the decade.
It will feature the Top 100 records of the year, free downloadable content and records for every day of the year. The publisher will also be holding a poll on its website so people can vote for their favourite records in ten categories.
New records this year include the tallest man, Turkish Sultan Kšsen who measures a staggering 8 ft 1 in.
According to Nielsen Bookscan figures the 2009 edition sold just shy of 700,000 last year.
