FOOTNOTES TO SEX
Mia Farlane
Penguin

Meet the author.

Mia Farlane was born in New Zealand; her mother is the novelist Marilyn Duckworth. When she was twelve, her play THE ONLY THING IN COMMON about a husband and wife who kill each other was shown on New Zealand national television.
She studied French Language and Literature at Victoria University in Wellington, where she got a First. After spending several years in France, she moved to London where she completed an MA in Creative Writing at Middlesex University. FOOTNOTES TO SEX is her first novel.

The Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Society of Author is hosting Mia Farlane 7.30 pm,  Monday 22 March at Thistle Inn. It is an extra meeting as we normally only convene every second month, but we couldn’t resist this opportunity.   Mia is in town from the UK, and her debut novel ‘Footnotes to Sex’ has received excellent reviews from both “The Guardian” and “The Observer”.   The meeting is open to the membership and the general public to come and listen to Mia talk about her book.

Read Marion McLeod's piece on Mia Farlane and her book from The Listener.
