HarperCollins Publishers New Zealand presents cheque of over $30,000 to Salvation Army.

Last year, HarperCollins Publishers in association with News Ltd published the fundraising tribute book Black Saturday: Stories of love, loss and courage from the Victorian Bushfires edited by John McGourty.
Today, Tony Fisk, Managing Director of HarperCollins Publishers New Zealand was delighted to present a cheque for over $30,000 to Major Robert Ross, Public Relations Secretary for the Salvation Army New Zealand to go towards their Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Tony said “Black Saturday offered New Zealanders the opportunity to give tangible support to those in need across the Tasman. HarperCollins gratefully acknowledges the generous support received from suppliers and booksellers which allowed the entire proceeds (excluding GST) from every sale to go towards helping to rebuild the lives of those affected by the fires.”

The Bookman says great stuff Harper Collins NZ, well done. Hats off to you.
