THE PRESS
CHRISTCHURCH WRITERS FESTIVAL
9-12 September, 2010

SEX AND STRAVINSKY

What do these two topics have in common? Well check out the excellent programme for the Festival at

                                                           chchwritersfest.co.nz

and you will find one of the start attractions is Barbara Trapido whose latest novel is Sex and Stravinsky.
Getting Trapido as a guest at the Festival is a real coup for the small, enthusiastic and dedicated band who are responsible for this biennial celebration of authors and books.
I am delighted to have the chance to hear her speak as I have admired her since I read her first novel, Brother of the More Famous Jack way back in 1982.
This latest is her seventh novel, three of which were shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize and one long-listed for the Booker Prize.

The Independent.
The Guardian.
The Telegraph.
