Foyles and Indie Alliance team up

Authors including P D James, Philip Kerr and Geoff Dyer will take part in the first ever Indie Alliance weekend to be held at Foyles.

The weekend will include author talks, panel discussions and a speed-author brunch. It will be held on 11th and 12th September at the Gallery at Foyles' flagship branch on Charing Cross Road.

The first day will include events such as: Publishing Indie in a Digital Marketplace with Faber editor Hannah Griffiths, Canongate digital editor Dan Franklin and Jonathan Ruppin from Foyles. There will also be a talk from four crime authors, and a session on what it means to write about "unfriendly underworlds".

On the Sunday there will be a speed-author brunch, where attendees are given four minutes with each author. There will also be talks from debut novelists, female authors who write about history and a talk on how to write non-fiction.

Tickets to the whole weekend cost £25, or £20 for a concession. To attend just one day prices are £15, or £12 for a concession. Tickets can be bought from the retailer's website.
