A Celebration Evening: John Burningham and Helen Oxenbury

You are invited to join an evening of celebration of the work of two of our foremost multi-award winning illustrators and picture book creators, to mark the publication of There’s Going to be a Baby, their first work together.

Tuesday 30 November 7.00-9.00 p.m.
(Refreshments 6.30 p.m.)

Footnote:
The Bookman recalls warmly spending time with John and Helen in Wellington, NZ way back in the 70's when I was still a bookseller.
Such a talented pair, and such fun to spend time with, I remember John had a real "thing" about Muzak. But that is another story for another day.
I think Helen was published in those days by Heinemann and John by Jonathan Cape. I remember especially John's Mr.Gumpy titles, beautiful hardback picture books that we just couldn't keep in stock.
