It could be a good month to enter the Global Short Story Competition

The team behind the monthly Global Short Story Competition, which have already handed out more than £5,000 in prize money over the past three years, have revealed that January’s competition has seen a very small entry to date.

Competition Administrator, the crime novelist John Dean: “Usually, we have lots of entries but this month is a very low entry indeed. This could be an excellent chance for writers to have a go!“

Open to writers across the planet, and won by authors from Australia to the UK, New Zealand to Finland, Singapore to the United Arab Emirates, the United States to Ireland, the competition is open for entries at http://www.globalshortstories.net/ Entry free is £5, the first prize is £100 and the judge is North-East England author Fiona Cooper. The competition is run by Certys Limited, which is based in North East England.
