The Art of Peter Siddell bound for New York

Peter Siddell to remind Kathy Reichs of all her NZ fans

As reported earlier, internationally best-selling US forensic thriller writer, Kathy Reichs,(pic right - Marie-Reine Mattera),has been in Auckland this week.
She was on a brief stop over after having disembarked from the Crystal Pacific where she had been invited to delivered two lectures for the Pacific leg of the cruise. Kathy spoke at Random House’s Sales Conference earlier in the week. The Sales team presented Kathy with a copy of Random’s beautiful new Peter Siddell book and she was really captivated by Sir Peter’s work.
So much so, in fact, that she bought a beautiful little limited edition print from Artis which the Parnell gallery is shipping to her. The painting looks over to North Head which is the same view that Kathy saw from the Waiheke Ferry and it’s imbued with the light that only Sir Peter manages to capture so well.
Kathy will quite often by art on her travels. She emerged from the Downtown terminal with a very large poster tube tucked under her arm which contained an art work which had caught her eye in Papeete.
The Art of Peter Siddell (Godwit) is being launched in Auckland this evening and goes on sale tomorrow.
