Katherine Mansfield, Wellington Walk,

Time: Starting at 10.30am.
Starting point: Entrance to the National Library on Aitken Street, Thorndon.
Cost: $20 which includes the entrance fee to Katherine Mansfield Birthplace
Optional lunch at the Backbencher (pay your own)

As part of the Katherine Mansfield Walk we will trace the steps of Katherine Mansfield, and stop at various places that were important in her life in Wellington. At the stops we will hear relevant readings from her short stories. Among the places visited will be The General Assembly Library, Premier House, Old St Paul’s where she went to Church, and Katherine Mansfield Birthplace, where the family lived during part of Katherine’s childhood.

The walk will last an hour and a half and will be led by Kevin Boon, who has written about Katherine Mansfield’s life in Wellington.
The walk is part of New Zealand Book Month organised by the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Society of Authors.
