Earlier this year Basil suggested Tivoli stock the little booklet Time for Outrage! (Indignez-vous!) by 93-year-old French Resistance fighter and concentration camp survivor Stephane Hessel. A brilliant polemic and 'call to arms', a million copies have sold in France (first published in 2010) and now many in other languages. Hessel helped draft the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Tivoli has at last fulfilled Basil's request and copies of Time for Outrage! have arrived. Any proceeds will be donated to the 2012 May Day Theatres of Resistance project, Waiheke.
Do join us at Tivoli to celebrate Basil, his zest for life, his wit, his outrage! at injustice - and his varied campaigns of action over many decades.

Tivoli's event is one of others remembering and celebrating Basil. Among them are Waiheke Community Cinema's film evening in December and the Theatres of Resistance production noted above, which will be dedicated to the memory of Basil.
