COMEBACK by Peter Corris - great plane read

Corris is widely acknowledged as the godfather of Australian crime fiction through his Cliff Hardy detective stories. This latest one is his 37th! In many ways his writing reminds me of the best-selling uS author Elmore Leonard except of course that Corris has the same character in every book. Cliff Hardy his wise-cracking private detective is Sydney-based, often offside with the law has just got back his licence to operate after a brief gaol sentence. He is soon mixing with dodgy characters again!
Corris is an easy and entertaining read, perfect fodder for crime fiction nutters like me.
I read it at 35,000 feet between Auckland and San Francisco and warmly recommend it as an ideal plane read.
Welcome back Cliff.
