Fiona Kidman is going ‘On and Off the
Track’ for New Zealand Book Month.
This is a new initiative for writers to
make the most of trains that travel
through small towns and into more out of the way places. Fiona will take the
train to Taihape, meet the public for readings, chat and signings, as well as
school students, then board the train the following day for Otorohanga, before
traveling home.
If this venture works it will be a
prototype for more writers on trains stopping at smaller centres next year.
The public events are:
13 March 6 –7.30, Taihape Public Library
14 March 6 –7.30 St John’s Ambulance Hall,
Otorohanga
