Roddy Doyle - ha ha ha

I guess one of the great benefits to an author like Roddy Doyle in attending writers festivals far from home is that it brings his name back to the attention of readers who may have read earlier titles but for whom he has since gone off the radar.
That was the case with me and as a result of attending his marvellous An Hour With session at the recently concluded AWRF I am now re-reading Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, for which he won the Booker Prize in 1993.
Then I plan to move straight on to his latest, a collection of short stories, Bullfighting, from which he read (wonderfully) at the Festival.
Roddy Doyle - go go go.
