Join us for an evening of Food, Wine & Stories with Alex Mackay. Alex Mackay believes that cooking is
an adventure and that good food should be for everyone. He knows that
most of us shop in the supermarket, work long hours, and are often stuck
for inspiration in the kitchen. The trick, he has discovered, is to know
a few basic recipes inside-out and to reinvent them so they never grow
tired. In Everybody, Everyday he shows how to cook six basic ingredients,
six sauces and six slow-cooked meals, and then offers a kaleidoscope of
variations for each.
We've been lucky enough to browse through an advance copy of Everybody
Everyday and trust us, it is fantastic. This will be the go-to book in
Everybody's kitchen Everyday!
After leaving NZ (where he worked with our favourite COOK - Grant Allen @
Pierre's Restaurant) Alex Mackay worked as a chef at Michelin-starred
restaurants in France, Italy and the UK. Having run Raymond Blanc's
cookery school and founded the internationally acclaimed Baou d'Infer
cookery school in Provence, he now teaches alongside Delia Smith. His
first book Cooking in Provence was a winner at the Gourmand World
Cookbook Awards. Alex lives near Oxford with his wife and two sons.
