Pop-up radio at Foyles for Fiction Uncovered

Fiction Uncovered will be running a four-day pop-up radio station, Fiction Uncovered FM at Foyles, from 20th to 23rd June, to be hosted by Foyles, Charing Cross Road.
The programme will include interviews with the eight authors selected for the Fiction Uncovered promotion—Peter Benson, Cressida Connolly, Jill Dawson, Tibor Fischer, Doug Johnston, Susanna Jones, David Park and Dan Rhodes—as well as panel discussions, and a specially commissioned radio drama by Gabriel Bisset-Smith.
The channel will be broadcast online at http://www.fictionuncovered.co.uk/radio, as well as through 87.9FM in London.
Guest panels will discuss topics including fiction in translation, crime in fiction, diversity in publishing and the impact and worth of specialist fiction prizes.
Additional content will be provided by the Royal Society of Literature, Shoreditch Literary Salon, Granta, Faber and Bloomsbury, and includes recordings with Ian McEwan, Chris Cleave and Jon McGregor.
Fiction Uncovered director Sophie Rochester said: "We hope the programme of our Fiction Uncovered FM pop-up radio station reflects the diversity and richness of British fiction being published today, and addresses some of the complex issues facing publishing today."
The Fiction Uncovered promotion aims to help UK fiction writers find wider audiences, with this year's panel, responsible for choosing the titles, chaired by author and academic John Sutherland.
