The festival is now in its sixth year and is bigger than ever, with more than 100 events running from Friday 28 September to Sunday 7 October. The Telegraph has been the proud media and title sponsor since the inaugural event in 2007 - and this year's festival in Bath again features some of the biggest names in children's fiction.

The festival starts with a Where's Wally parade, and over the 10 days includes prize-winning authors Andy Stanton, Liz Pichon, Gill Lewis, Ali Sparkes, Darren Shan, Lauren St John and Sally Gardner.
For teenage readers, there is a whole new strand called 'KLF' featuring top young adult writers such as Moira Young, Andrew Hammond, Matt Dickinson, JD Sharpe and Cathy Brett. There is also a Dr Who event and toddler-based fun featuring the Mr Men and Fireman Sam characters.
Bath's 'Masterclass Series' will once again feature workshops for children and teens and there will be a special Cartoon Workshop by Martin Brown, the Horrible Histories artists who is the 'Illustrator-in-Residence' for the Bath Festival this year.
In addition, the Telegraph's Deputy Books Editor, Lorna Bradbury, will be hosting an 'Ask Lorna Live' event and Christopher Lloyd will be talking about the Telegraph Wallbook Of Sport.
Directors John McLay and Gill McLay, who founded the festival, said: "2012 is a great year of celebration and we've put together a programme fit for champions."
One special highlight will be Michael Rosen, a former children's Laureate, talking about 'The Fantastic Roald Dahl.'
