philologist Pablo González Casanova.

Náhuatl Stories comprises 14 short stories originally in
Náhuatl (the language of the Aztec Empire)
collected and translated into Spanish by González Casanovain
in the first half of the 20th Century.
This is an important venture not only because it is the
first time this work, published in 1946, is being
translated into English, but also because it’s the first
ever co-edition for our two countries.
An official presentation by H.E. Mrs Leonora Rueda,
Ambassador of Mexico, Roberto Rabel,
Victoria University of Wellington’s Pro Vice-Chancellor
(International), Fergus Barrowman, VUP editor,
Desiree Gezentsvey, translator, will be followed by a
reception.
