Visitor Services Host, 56 Eden Street and trust
administrator
This role offers the opportunity to work with the Janet
Frame Eden Street Trust to deliver the visitor experience at 56 Eden Street,
Oamaru (the childhood Home of Janet Frame) and a range of administrative duties.
Some knowledge of Frame’s life or work is preferable, as
well as some knowledge of New Zealand literature. You will understand how to meet visitor expectations,
be outgoing and congenial and have basic computer and administrative skills.
The work is a fixed-term part-time role. The hours are 12 weekly to be worked during
the property’s opening hours 2 – 4.00pm daily (Mon – Sat) between and including
Labour weekend and Easter weekend, at the property. The house is open Sundays and is hosted by
volunteers on Sundays. The Trust is open
to a job-share arrangement for the position.
