Book launch: The
Country Diary of a New Zealand Lady by Christina Ferens
1 November 2012 6.00pm
Takapuna Library
Join us at 6pm for light refreshments. Christina will talk from 6.30pm
Delightfully written and illustrated, The Country Diary of a New Zealand Lady is set in the Taheke hinterland, Northland, a still-remote part of New Zealand. It describes the meshed lives and idiosyncrasies of the fauna, from the pheasant who runs backwards to save manoeuvring his tail to the fern bird at the front door, to the Captain Cookers over the garden fence. In all, 48 species of bird are documented.
Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase. Please RSVP to this event by phoning (09) 486 8469, or by emailing Helen Woodhouse.
