Spectacular launch of spectacular book in Auckland last night

Flowers at Home

This large, utterly gorgeous hardback book was published in great style in Freeman's Bay last evening. The offices of software firm, Propellerhead, were transformed by thousands of fresh flowers, roses of every hue dominated but there were many other varieties on show as well, and on entry you would have been forgiven for thinking you had arrived at the Ellerslie Flower Show rather than a book launch. The entranceway was also strewn with thousands of rose petals. It was knockout stuff.
And of course it was all totally relevant to the book in which "living life beautifully" queen Sandra Kaminski shows how, by using cut flowers and an imaginative range of accessories, to transform a room or setting to reflect the mood you want.
The book was published by the endlessly energetic Renee Lang of Renaissance Publishing and she got things underway by welcoming the large gathering and then introducing another queen of style, Trelise Cooper, who spoke passionately of her love of flowers and the importance of them in her life, before officially launching the book.
Kaminski's easy and accessible writing style, accompanied by the stunning photography of Geoff Hedley, make this book a must for all who aspire to make their home a more beautiful place and/or who simply love the beauty of freshly cut flowers.

"Flowers at Home" is  totally inspiring as well as being an outstanding coffee-table book, the most impressive I have seen in a long while; my guess is that many lucky mothers will be getting this for Mothers Day next month. If so they will be delighted.

Footnote:
Credit must be given to Trevor Newman of Newman Design for the superb job he has done on the book's design. Award-winning stuff I reckon.
