Catherine
Foreman completed a Bachelor of Graphic Design majoring in
illustration at AUT in 2002, but it wasn’t until some years and a couple of her
own children later that images and ideas began to materialise into stories that
were complete enough to submit to a publisher.
The Cat’s Pyjamas (2011) was Catherine’s
first book, which won the coveted Children’s Choice Award at the 2012 NZ Post
Children’s Book Awards. She has since illustrated Chris Gurney’s Madison Moon and the hot-air balloon (2012).
Now we have these two new boldly illustrated titles for pre-schoolers in a series named Machines and Me . I hope there will be more
