Coronet to publish 'definitive' Beyoncé biography

Hodder & Stoughton imprint Coronet is to publish a “definitive biography” of singer Beyoncé.
Editorial director Charlotte Hardman acquired world rights in Beyoncé: Running the World by Anna Pointer in a deal with Amanda Preston of Luigi Bonomi Associates.
Pointer is a writer, journalist and the former editor of celebrity magazine Star.
Hardman said: “Beyoncé: Running the World is the definitive telling of Beyoncé's remarkable story – a celebration for her millions of fans that applauds her greatest triumphs, uncovers the truth behind the headlines and explores the hidden heartbreaks of her past.
“Like so many, I’m a huge fan of Beyoncé and feel that a really well-written and carefully researched biography of this kind is missing in our market and I hope Beyoncé's dedicated fans will thoroughly enjoy it.”

Pointer said: “As a former showbiz magazine editor I realised that Beyoncé's influence in the UK and right across the world is extraordinary.
“She is that rare breed of pop star both men and women love, and whose music is universally admired.
“And as a long-term Beyoncé fan, I have always been fascinated by her life story, and was surprised by how little it had been covered in any real depth.”

Beyoncé: Running the World will be published in hardback and e-book on 9th October, and in paperback in summer 2015.
