Frankfurt Book Fair: A last Kiwi hurrah in Halle 8

PANZ News

Ten Kiwi publishers are exhibiting on New Zealand’s collective stand (M98) at Frankfurt Book Fair 8 – 12 October.

Sam Elworthy (AUP), Sally Greer (Beatnik), Linda Cassells (Calico Publishing), Nicola Smith (Essential Resources), Julia Marshall (Gecko Press), Tracy Strudley (Global Education Services), Peter Dowling (Oratia Media) and Kevin Chapman (Upstart Press) will be back on the stand. PANZ welcomes new exhibitors Little Green Frog - Dr Libby Weaver, Chris Weaver and Karen McKenzie and Otago University Press represented by Rachel Scott.

Tony Ropata, aka Ropes, will again build our stand and the layout will be similar to last year using the 2012 display panels for a final time. With the stand space of 80 sqm there will be plenty of room. Sarah Ropata will be Stand Manager and it is hoped that Christiane Geipert-Arheilger will repeat her receptionist role.

Our NZ stand Welcome Breakfast is on the opening day, Wednesday 8 October at 8.30am, and the much heralded stand party – famous for Kiwi wine - is on Friday 10 October at 5pm.

Next year, New Zealand’s 2015 stand will move to Halle 6 as part of a major reorganization of the book exhibition by FBF.
