John Blake to publish Robin Williams biography

John Blake Publishing will publish a biography of actor and comedian Robin Williams, who died last week (Monday 11th August).

The book, titled Robin Williams 1951-2014: When the Laughter Stops, is written by Emily Herbert, an experienced biographer who has also written about Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga and Matt Smith.

Publisher John Blake said: “This will be a warm and respectful tribute to this special and extraordinarily talented man, which we hope will shed new light on this troubled and complex genius”.

The book will chart Williams’ career and acting range from comedic characters in family films such as "Mrs Doubtfire" and "Jumanji" to his more serious roles in "Good Will Hunting" and "Dead Poets Society", while also focusing on the personality behind his professional roles.

John Blake Publishing will publish the tribute in October 2014 in paperback at £7.99. It will also be available as an e-book.
