Tomorrow,
at the University of Otago, five former Burns Fellows will be joined by friends
to read in support of Edward Snowden.
This is one of a series of readings,
coordinated by the International Literature Festival Berlin, that will take
place on 8 September in Austria, Colombia, France, Germany, Iceland, Norway,
Serbia, South Africa, Slovenia, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States.
Supporters include Martin Amis, Robert Hass, Elfriede Jelinek, Don
Paterson, Eliot Weinberger, and Irvine Welsh.
