It is with great sadness that
HarperCollins acknowledges the sudden death of our friend and author Celia
Lashlie.
Celia was a genuine force for
good in the world. Her tireless work in the fields of social justice, penal
reform, youth affairs and parenting will leave a permanent legacy that many
have benefitted from, and will continue to inspire future generations.
She was also a consummate
professional with a fearsome work ethic, often to the extent of neglecting her
own best interests in favour of the interests of others. Her books, in
particular the groundbreaking He'll Be OK, are one part of this legacy,
and all of us at HarperCollins feel privileged to have been a part of their
creation, and to have been part of Celia's world.
