Ian Rankin Wants To Leave His Literary Papers To The National Library Of Scotland

Book2BookSunday 04 Oct 2015

REBUS author Ian Rankin wants to leave his literary papers to the National Library of Scotland – including faxes that have totally faded over the years.
The author launched a £250,000 appeal in February to bring the final part of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie writer Muriel Spark's archive to the library, in Edinburgh.
Rankin studied Sparks' writings and life for his doctorate, which he did not complete.
The 55-year-old author said he wanted to donate his boxes of receipts, bills, contracts and papers to the library too.
