Frankfurt Book Fair News with The Bookseller





 

Simon & Schuster has won what it has labelled a "psychological drama" by author Sarah Vaughan at auction, paying a "good six figures".
 
 
 
 

 

A consortium of British indie publishers visiting Frankfurt for the first time are in an “awkward” position as a result of the UK’s vote to leave the EU, but will be using the fair to forge closer ties with publishers on the continent.
 
 
 
 

 

Angela Gui, daughter of a Hong Kong publisher being detained by Chinese authorities, is holding meetings with the International Publishers Association (IPA) at the Frankfurt Book Fair to encourage the global book trade to intervene in her father’s plight.
