Auckland-based Publishing jobs - vacancies

Marketing Executive (Maternity Cover)

Hachette New Zealand is looking for a creative and organised marketer with some experience ready to take a step up in this maternity cover role. You’ll be working in a small team, which has the advantage of being part of a big multi-national company.

You’ll be responsible for all aspects of campaign planning from producing in-store point of sale to booking advertising and running social media campaigns.  The role has a lot of autonomy so you need to be confident in your ability and able to juggle multiple deadlines.

 You will need:

·         Strong copy writing skills

·         The ability to think creatively

·         Good organisational and record keeping skills

·         An eye for design and the ability to brief our in-house designer

·         A solid understanding of New Zealand’s media landscape and an ability to find the correct audience for a particular book

·         Excellent social media skills and thorough understanding of advertising through social media networks and other online avenues

·         Analytical and reporting skills

Ideally you’ll have previous marketing experience within the publishing industry, but while book industry experience is preferable it’s not essential if you have the right skills for the job. We’re a passionate team of book lovers so you must be a keen reader.

This is a full time role based in the CBD.
